Our approach to cookies and similar technologies
Sumac uses a first-party cookie and matching browser local storage only to remember your privacy choice. Google Maps is optional and disabled by default. Accept and reject are offered at the same level; closing the banner without accepting records a rejection and leaves the map disabled.
The inventory below is generated from the same versioned configuration that controls the website, so the notice and the implementation stay aligned.

Storage required to remember your choice
The sumac-consent cookie is retained for 180 days. The sumac:legal-consent local-storage record is the primary browser copy and remains until you change the choice, clear site data, or a later choice overwrites it. A record from an older configuration version is ignored. Both records contain the category choice, status, timestamp, and configuration version; neither activates optional content by itself.
Google Maps
If you allow Google Maps, the site creates an iframe from www.google.com. Google then receives the request and may read or set cookies, local storage, or other identifiers according to your Google state, settings, and Google’s policies.
Withdrawing the choice removes the iframe and prevents this site from loading it again. Sumac cannot delete data or third-party storage that Google may already have created; use your browser and Google privacy controls for that.

Review or withdraw your choice
Open Cookie Preferences at any time to allow or reject Google Maps. Withdrawal is as easy as consent and affects future loading immediately. You can also clear the Sumac cookie and local-storage record in your browser.

Opening an external Google Maps, efood, or Instagram link takes you to that provider. It is not controlled by the Google Maps consent category on this website, and the provider’s own cookie and privacy choices apply after you leave Sumac.
